A bit more about Kyoto!
Kyoto means Western capital in Japanese. Actually it was Japan's capital for over 1,000 years, and during that time some of the Japanese arts, religion and culture developed here. It takes less than 3 hours by "Shinkansen-bullet train" from Tokyo. It is definitely worth a visit.
