Savoury Japanese Pancakes. Easy to make & FUN !

Okonomiyaki means "cooke as you like it" Basically you put together a mix of ingrediants and make a light & crusty pancake with it all. This is meant to be fun and cooked at your table (if possible)
How to cook: Mix together 2 eggs, water 120cc and Okonomiyaki flour 100g. Add shredded cabbage (1/2), and any ingredients (pork, squid, shiitake mushrooms, prowns etc. all together about 250g). Heat a little oil on the pan and pour mixture in seperate spoonfuls,cook for 5 mins until mixtures hardens and bubbles form and flip over ( make sure batter crisp,cabbage soft, fish cooked) Best served with Okonmiyaki sauce (which is thick type of soy sauce)

Potato starch called "Katakuriko" in Japanese.

As it is stronger than cornstarch, you need to use it less "katakuriko" than you would cornstarch. It is good for thickening sauces which are to be eaten immediately. So use it just before you serve! (180g)

Spicy, tasty batter mix for any meat, fish and vegetables.

Just put batter mix on whatever you like to fry and leave for 3 minutes to allow the powder to settle and fry them. This batter mix does not need to mix with water therefore it makes everything crunchy. Once you open it, keep the bag closed using plastic band. (150g)

Make your own Pancakes, Japanese style.

Mix some "Hot cake mix" flour (200g), Eggs (2) and Milk (or water) (100cc) in a bowl. Pre-heat frying pan and add some oil THINLY (not much), place the pan on the wetted towel to remove the heat. Then pour the mixed flour mix on the pan (can be devided into 4 or 5), heat it up with low heat for about 3 minutes, when you can see some bubbles on the surface, turn it over and heat it up about 2 minutes. Now spread some of the syrup on the top, (you can add chocolate or butter as well) (230g)
